Substantial Growth and Innovative Technological Advancements Headline Converus’ 6th Annual Conference
A record number of attendees learned of significant advances to come in the world of credibility assessment as Converus continues to disrupt the industry.
Las Vegas, NV – Jan. 17, 2020 – Credibility assessment professionals learned about a new 1-minute identity verification test and a new laptop version of the EyeDetect station, as well as other EyeDetect innovations on the horizon during the 6th Annual Converus Service Partner Conference held Jan. 15-17 in Las Vegas. The company’s annual gathering featured two days of presentations followed by a day of specialized training.
A record-breaking 61 attended the conference, including 43 Converus Service Partners (representing 12 different countries), a Converus customer and two investors.
One of the highlights of the conference was the case study presented by Acceso, a Peruvian-based financial services company that provides vehicle loans. Since implementing EyeDetect, the company has reduced bad loans by 40%, which reduced potential financial losses by over half a million dollar over a 12-month period. The company also attributes EyeDetect to helping it rise from 4th to 2nd in market share in Peru in its industry.
“The numbers are impressive,” said Ivan Perez Carrá, Acceso’s central risk manager.
Acceso first used EyeDetect in 2017. It ran 157 tests on just 4 EyeDetect stations that year. Today, 95% of Acceso’s customers take an EyeDetect test.
“In 2020, we expect to run 12,000 EyeDetect tests and have 60 EyeDetect stations deployed,” added Perez.
Attendees wanting to be part of an up-and-coming credibility assessment company were assured they were in the right place at the right time. Mickelsen announced Converus tripled the number of EyeDetect tests run in 2019 and also doubled its revenues from the previous year.
“We really do want to change the world’s environment for the better, and we do that by striving to be the leading technology provider of the best credibility assessment technology solutions,” said Converus President and CEO Todd Mickelsen.
Attendees gave high praise for the conference, Converus, and its technologies.
“EyeDetect is cutting edge. It’s a new tool for me to have in my credibility assessment arsenal,” said Della Harripaul-Ganesh, a polygraph examiner from Trinidad and Tobago that recently signed on as a Converus Service Partner.” There are a lot of possibilities for EyeDetect, and it can do a lot of good. EyeDetect helps me by taking the human aspect out of it — any kind of potential bias.”
Added Nash Yousef, president of Toronto-based EyeVestigate, “Attending the Converus Annual Service Partner conference makes me even more comfortable and confident about what my customers are using/buying. It took me to the next level by exposing me to a lot of very interesting concepts and new innovations that will change how deception detection is currently conducted.”
Converus will announce the date and location of its next conference in the near future.
