Converus Announces New EyeDetect Training Courses
In addition to Converus Service Partners, others that will benefit from this 3-day training course include polygraph examiners, private investigators, therapists, and law enforcement personnel. Training on three test protocols (RCT, DLC, and 4R) comprise the advanced training portions.
LEHI, Utah – April 24, 2019 – Converus will host 3-day EyeDetect training sessions various times during the year. Converus Service Partners, customers, or anyone working in the credibility assessment industry looking to be trained in the latest, scientifically validated lie detection technology are invited.
The first training sessions are scheduled June 25-27 and September 24-26, 2019 at the Converus headquarters in Lehi, Utah.
EyeDetect does diagnostic testing as well as screening. For that reason, the technology is applicable to a much broader market.
“This is an opportunity for those that rely on accurately detecting deception as part of their job to be trained in the latest, most-advanced lie detection technology to hit the market in years,” said Converus President and CEO Todd Mickelsen. “At the end of this advanced EyeDetect training, participants will not only be able to effectively administer tests, but also create their own screening and investigation tests. They will leave with the skills to utilize EyeDetect in all testing scenarios.”
For that reason, Mickelsen expects high demand for the training sessions.
The EyeDetect training will feature a different topic daily, and attendees can register for any one of the three days of training, or for all three. Day 1 will cover the standard training in the morning. It’s designed to enable customers to successfully administer EyeDetect tests and interpret test results. This class will also cover advanced topics in the afternoon, such as understanding the EyeDetect algorithm, the effect of base rates on testing, detection of countermeasures, and the expected results when combining EyeDetect with polygraph testing.
Day 2 begins the advanced portion of the course and will focus on the RCT (relative comparison test) protocol, as well as the new 4R protocol. RCT and 4R tests are commonly used for screening job applicants or current employees. In addition, RCT can be used for conducting diagnostic testing. Attendees will learn how to write RCT and 4R tests and will receive access to online tools for creating these tests.
Day 3 concludes with DLC (directed lie comparison) tests — tests commonly used for diagnostic, or single issue, testing. In addition, DLC tests can be used for conducting screening tests. Attendees will learn how to write DLC tests and will be given access to online tools for creating such tests.
EyeDetect is a nonintrusive, scientifically validated lie detection technology that accurately detects deception in 15-30 minutes by analyzing eye and other behaviors. Results are available within 5 minutes. Screening tests take about 30 minutes, are 86 percent accurate, and are ideal for evaluating job applicants or current employees on various topics. Diagnostic tests take about 15 minutes, are 90 percent accurate, and target specific questions (such as those in criminal cases).
EyeDetect is currently used by more than 500 customers in 40 countries in 30 different languages. For more information about Converus, visit: converus.com
