Converus Launches VerifEye Test Drive to Showcase Truth Verification via Smartphone App
The Free Online Demo Walks Users Through an Identity Verification Assessment — a Key Use Case for Employment, Financial, and Online Platform Screening

The VerifEye Test Drive lets users preview how the app verifies identity and truthfulness via any smartphone. The simulated assessment illustrates how the app fits seamlessly into employment or platform onboarding.
LEHI, Utah – Aug. 21, 2025 – Converus has launched an interactive online demonstration of VerifEye to show how easily the mobile app can verify truth and identity. The free “VerifEye Test Drive” gives anyone a firsthand look at how the technology integrates into existing workflows for organizations needing fast, cost-effective screening.
The test drive simulates a real use case — an identity verification assessment, which is widely used in pre-employment screening and financial services. But Converus says the technology can also help validate creditworthiness, reduce fraud in online transactions, or bring greater authenticity to dating platforms and gig economy services.
“Customers use VerifEye to initially screen job candidates remotely for behaviors that would disqualify them from coming to work for the organization. Common behaviors include illegal drug use in the last X years, stealing, leaking confidential information, commission of serious crimes, etc. VerifEye streamlines the hiring process and greatly reduces costs by only allowing those who passed the initial screening to remain considered,” said Converus President and CEO Todd Mickelsen. “This test drive lets anyone experience what happens in a VerifEye test and how simple it is for an organization to incorporate truth verification into their own systems.”
VerifEye uses the camera on a smartphone to analyze involuntary eye behavior during a short, self-administered true/false test. The app applies AI to improve eye and voice recordings and machine learning to improve test scoring algorithms. Results are returned in minutes and help organizations quickly evaluate the credibility of personal claims — such as background, intent or identity.
In the new test drive, users complete a mock onboarding form and then see how test access can be delivered via QR code, SMS, email, or manual link — streamlining the user journey while protecting privacy. Being a demo test, no credibility score is provided.
The app has already generated interest among background screening firms, financial institutions, and businesses seeking additional safeguards to prevent deception and improve user trust. In prior surveys, more than half of adults admitted to lying on dating profiles. And in the U.S. alone, reported romance scams have cost victims over $1.3 billion in the past five years
