EyeDetect – The First Business Intelligence Tool Providing Credibility Assessment Test Data
Organizations can optimize company decisions and performance by mining data from this new technology that measures employee credibility via eye behavior.
LEHI, Utah – Feb. 2, 2017 – Organizations looking for reliable, comprehensive business intelligence data can now simply look into a person’s eyes by using a new technology called EyeDetect — the first nonintrusive business intelligence tool that accurately assesses a person’s credibility in 30 minutes by analyzing eye behavior.
Within five minutes of completing the test, EyeDetect provides access to across-the-board data to help corporations improve and optimize decisions and performance. A charting tool gives decision makers a user-friendly, visualized representation of the data. The data can be sorted by multiple parameters, including by companies, departments, functions, locations, date ranges and test types. The decision maker can then drill down on the charts to see credibility scores, names, test dates and times, types of tests taken, and other more detailed information.
“The Converus business intelligence dashboard is designed to give executives quick access to quality data, through a web browser, in any location, on any device, using secure connections and encryption,” said Converus President and CEO Todd Mickelsen. Converus, a Utah start-up, introduced EyeDetect to the market in 2014.
During the course of an EyeDetect test, over 180,000 eye measurements and hundreds of test responses are uploaded to a secure cloud server to be analyzed by a scientific decision model. The data in the charting tool is viewable via the web-based Converus Dashboard. Decision makers can then click on any part of the chart to drill down and create a report that summarizes the data. Reports can also be printed.
“Our technology’s credibility assessment focus is unique among business intelligence tools and provides detailed, trustworthy data on employees and job applicants that helps optimize performance and hiring decisions,” said Mickelsen.
EyeDetect is the first breakthrough in effectively uncovering lies and deception since the polygraph was invented nearly 100 years ago. Since coming to the market, companies and government agencies in Latin America have been using EyeDetect for pre-employment screening of job candidates and for periodic testing of current employees to reduce fraud, theft and corruption. Police departments and other public safety agencies in the U.S. began using EyeDetect for job applicant screening in 2015.
An EyeDetect Station consists of a tablet computer equipped with a high-definition, infrared eye-tracking camera. The eye tracker is calibrated to monitor involuntary eye behavior — including pupil dilation, blink rate, response time and other eye movements. After the concept was conceived in 2002, a team of five scientists from the University of Utah has spent the next 14 years researching and fine-tuning the technology.
